SOUND WALL PROJECT COMPLETE
WITHIN I-515 CORRIDOR
I-515 (US 93/95) between Las Vegas Blvd and Sahara Ave

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), in a cooperative effort with the City of Las Vegas and Clark County, established a sound wall program to fund sound barriers on existing freeways. As part of this program, and in response to public request in the area, sound walls were constructed on both sides of I-515 from Las Vegas Boulevard to Sahara Avenue.

Construction of the sound walls is essentially complete and neighbors and businesses in the area are enjoying the results.

NDOT and the City of Las Vegas held a sound wall celebration on June 25, 2007 to mark the completion of the project and celebrate a successful partnership between the two entities. CIty of Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, Mayor Pro Tem Gary Reese and NDOT Deputy Director Rudy Malfabon praised the partnership that made the project successful and thanked the public for their input and participation.
