The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) recently completed the first phase of the I-515 Corridor study.
STUDY AREA
The study area encompassed a portion of the eastern and southeastern regions of the Las Vegas Valley, including I-515 (U.S. 93/95) and the surrounding transportation network. The area in question stretched from the Spaghetti Bowl southeast through Henderson to the Foothills Grade Separation. Click here for a map.
STUDY PURPOSE & NEED
This study was undertaken to develop a program of improvements to address the short- and long-term transportation needs of the study area in response to continued population growth. The study identified areas of existing and future congestion and evaluated alternatives to improve transportation system performance by increasing mobility, accessibility, safety, and enhance multi-modal opportunities for the traveling public.
